Week 6 and 7 Blog

Over the past few weeks we have learnt about prime numbers and common factors. Prime numbers are numbers that can only be multiplied once. There is only one prime number that is even and that number is two, the rest of the prime numbers are odd. Common factors they are multiples that are common throughout those two multiples. There are also lowest common multiples and highest common multiples. Lowest common multiples are if you have two numbers you have to write down the first two multiples that appear in both sets of numbers. Last week we learnt were to put commas. If you had a Awubis word you would but the comma by  the bit that you think is extra information.  In maths we have also learnt BEDMAS it stands for brackets, exponents, division, multiplication, addition, and subtraction. I also learnt ho to convert powers into natural equations. I did that by well for example if I wanted to convert 3⁴ + 2¹=. First of all you would have to use your calculator and find out what 3⁴ which is 81 is then you would find out 2¹ which is 2 so then you would do 81 + 2 = and your answer would be 83.
